The Nikon D90 Digital SLR Camera Kit with 18-105MM VR Lens is one of the new Nikon launches this year as a replacement to the Nikon D60, D70 and D80.

One of the things that sets this camera apart is that this is the first SLR to have movie capture mode with 24fps. This feature alone makes up for the extra Rupees you may had have to shell for the outgoing D80. The image quality is pretty good — goes up to ISO 6400 and the camera comes with a 18-105mm lens. The body is a bit heavier than the earlier models in the same family, but if you are a professional photographer this is not necessarily a bad thing since it gives a better, more sturdy grip.

The camera outputs in following formats: NEF (12 bit compressed RAW), JPEG (Baseline-compliant), AVI (Motion JPEG compression format with monaural sound).

The price @autsun is Rs.80,901, much lower than the MRP of Rs.89K+.
